Nothing stays the same forever, but why is the new so frequently lacking in charm? This pet supply shop has been on Bleecker Street for more than two decades. For 15 of those years, it kept Beau http://www.fotolog.net/ronni/?photo_id=1547809 - well-stocked with food, kitty litter and toys. Recently, when the shop was sold to a chain, a new sign was installed. Now I ask you, would you rather buy your animal
friends food at Pet Central or at Beasty Feast?

I don`t like "Beasty Feast" at all. Sounds like they`re pandering to the "in" crowd. Nothing wrong with Pet Central, other than its being the "old" name, that is.I`m so glad you`re back, Ronni! -- (Although the site`s been having fits of a different nature for me now...)

Hi Ronni! "Pet Central" is so bloodless, so Latinate, whereas "Beasty Feasty" makes me instantly like the owners, and want them to like me. But we no longer choose to do business; we are obliged to do it, as the frogs in Michigan, when I lived there, seemed to be driven onto the roads during heavy spring rains, to be crushed by the thousands. Commercial activity is now an obligatory rite. Thus, I guess, the Latin mass. "Pet Central" indeed.

My parents`s would take me to Let`s shoes that was right by the news stand - my father who grew up on Carmine Street always refered to it as Harry Hockstein`s ... of course so much as been lost of commercial fiber in that area ... the silliest was Grandpa`s

hands down, beasty feast. everything`s so sanitized "these days." I was walking from the east village to the low lower east side this weekend, struck by how things seemed to have morphed into the amusement park versions of themselves. the chain-store versions close on their heels. and I haven`t been here in new york nearly long enough to really know how things change.though very happy to have you back.

Welcome back! Beasty Feast sounds like it has some life and humor in it, Pet Central looks and sounds like a bizzare destination.

good to see you back, and it`s interesting how this photo and text continues some of the thematic strands of your page right before you stopped posting. fotolog has been working really really well for a good couple weeks now, so welcome back!

War is the plague that human beings bring upon themselves. It is also a plague we might be able to end. On any given day since you and I were born, some part of the world has been at warin 2003 the total number of open conflicts was thirty. In the twentieth century at least 108 million people died in wars. Of the 20 largest military budgets on earth, 14 belong to developing countries. The United States spends more on its military than the next 16 countries combined
