There doesn`t seem much left to say. I had a lot of fun during my year and a quarter with Fotoflop. But since this site became a company instead of something people cared for personally, I also got frustrated with the crappy service way too often. Before I could tolerate it a lot better because I didn`t pay for a service but "donated" to a fun cause instead.
After only 1573 attempts in the last 3 days I finally managed to skim my archive down from 74 pages to only 4 (even if Fotolog says I have 5). That way I realized more clearly what had happened here and how my relationship with this site slowly turned from being one of it`s biggest supporters to someone who only shrugs her shoulders and moves on.
I can very well understand why some of you still love Fotolog so much. Only after having moved to a different site I realized how many serious flaws I had kept up with for way too long. Again: I am thankful for the strange fundraiser that forced me to look for a different site.
Please "forward my mail" to the address shown in the linklist. Thank you and take care - and please don`t ever thank me "for my patience"! There are lots of expressions much less hollow and more heartfelt than that meaningless phrase.

Oh Hugo, if you only knew how much *MORE* fun I have at Flickr ... Sure, Fotolog was good for a while. But Flickr is *MUCH* better in so many ways! Once you get used to it, you won`t turn back anymore - and close to 500 of the best Fotologgers can tell you the same.I discovered RSS feeds (no more missing comments!), groups that actually don`t have porn in them on a regular base, I can organize my pictures the way I like them, I can assemble favorite pics of other people, I see exactly howmany people visited each and every one of my pictures, I can backtrack my comments, I can send private messages, discuss, chat, comment without any failure at all - in short, I am completely happy with my new cyberhome!I`m afraid you won`t even see this message, unless you come back over here and check. Oh my, I just now noticed how much easier my life became in the last 2 month. And in a way I am thankful that Fololog became such a nuisance - otherwise I would have never experienced how nice andfree of frustrations life in cyberspace can be! ;-)

Well, more than 300 of us (at this moment) find flickr a lot faster than Fotolog - leave alone all these little perks that make a photographer`s heart beat a lot faster ;-)Most of my friends are over there now and the community is even more rewarding then it was here. Flickr is only confusing until you really try it, Jef. The admins over there listen to all our sugestions and react extremely fast - unheard of in Fotolog! Maybe you should check it out again, it`s changed a lot. Your features are accessable fromthe bottom of every single page now :)But I agree, Fotothing is not bad either. Again: it`s run by someone who listens and reacts. What more does one want?

I have a flickr account but I find it too confusing. Too many features, and finding the feature you need can take a half dozen clicks. I`m happier with fotothing.
