Finished making this beauty on Tue. This doll is wearing traditional kimono from Okinawa and also check out her hair -she has a short sword hidden there. Apparently, at times of Bakufu Okinawan people were not allowed to carry swords. So they hid it inside their hair. For self-defense, I assume.

I have been to Japan three times to visit my son who is working there and I'm so sad that I can't visit again to see the Sakura this year.
I'll just have to have my own Hanami at home, like I did last year!
