"I hope for nothing I fear nothing I am free" - Nikos Kazantzakis's epitaph photography is an offering, a sharing. photography says "this once was", in front of the lens and behind it. both are important. photography as art, it doesn't matter who's behind the camera, but photography as life, it matters. Harmony - Stephen Sondheim ("Sunday in the Park with George") Most of my black and whites are flipped, a practice I started when printing pics in the darkroom, to remove the photos yet one more step from reality (after removing 3 dimensions and color). I only don't flip them when there are words in the pic that would distract from the image. If words are minor, I still flip them.
