And Mr Siffre because well, I owe him one. Many years ago, he was playing a gig in Trafalgar Square to celebrate Free South Africa. Anyway, after a night out in Soho with a friend I ending up walking down towards the Square to see if I could sneak my way in in to REM's encore (who'd bother doing that now?) and found that they'd gone. But, it was left to Mr Mark Lamarr to introduce the final act of the night. Intro (sarcastic voice) And now for a true inspiration and tireless campaigner for a better South Africa, Mister Labi Siffre. At which point I loudly and slightly drunkenly exclaimed Ha!! thinking old Mark was taking the piss. It's the voice that does it, and despite no one around actually noticing I had done that, I still feel a twinge of guilt and I still can't listen to 'Something Inside So Strong'.
