Christmas I. All of the trees used at Saint John`s Abbey come from our own woods. The splendid example above graces the Great Hall, primary reception area for both the Abbey and the University. Before 1962, the Great Hall served as the Abbey Church.

This is so beautiful. If this is the Great Hall, the church must be simply gorgeous! I wish my church looked like this!!! Unfortunately, my church is very modern, which I don`t care for at all. But we have a wonderful priest.

What fun that all the trees come from your own woods there. Lovely photo....so rich and so full of Peace and Promise.
What is texture?
Texture goes beyond mere pattern or form into something more complex and organic that you could touch, feel and maybe even identify with your eyes closed if your hand were big or small enough. These are visual representations of a non-visual sense: touch.
