Some pictures of June 28th LAST year-- our big conference was in NY, and i was part of planning in the youth side, we a few of us went up to Rochester, NY a few days early to set things up.
This pictures was part of a visit to sort out last minute details at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester. RMH gives FREE housing to families of children with cancer when they have to travel a long distance to a major hospital center for treatment. On Saturday morning of the conf. about 15 of us did garden work and other chores as requested by the house manager. It was part of an effort, where we didn't just claim to be Christians, invade a city for a weekend, and disappear, but to do what Christ did when He was here-- serve others.
Who said serving has to be boring? :-)
Does Ronald's head look like it moved towards me in the last picture??? :-)

Your cousin Noble(Reny) & I went to college together at NYIT. He was my very 1st Indian guy friend outside church cause prior to that I attended all girls school:) And he also knows my friend Jasmine(Jiby) & Joby, who also live in Bronx...:) Tell him I said "HI" & congrats...Congrats to you as well.

bincy..i hope you made it back from conference safely! it was great meeting you. thanks for coming and introducing yourself to me!! I was hoping i'd see you again so I could take an upshot with you for the blog...but no such luck. maybe next year??

good for you guys!! that last pic does kind of look like hes turning towards you. ohmigosh, my lil cousin watched IT at our house, and he refused to use the bathrooms in our house cause he thought the faucets were goign to get him. dont blame me, i was only 13, i didnt know nay better to not let him watch!!:P

i wish we had these conferences in toronto - actually, i wish i knew people that partook in them in Toronto. It sounds like an amazing and life changing event - every time. In your thumbnail - i thought you were kissing a clown. Then i got freaked out. Because well, quite frankly, clowns scare me.

wow, that is such a wonderful idea to give back to the host community where you're staying it. you really are able to leave your mark in the place you stay at. i hope this year's conference brings many more rewarding experiences. oh and btw, it does totally seem like ronald's head moved towards you in that last pic...lil creepy:)
