The examination of the experimental taphonomy literature shows that nearly all aspects are covered by various experiments, except for some roots action. Globally, archaeologists have had a more experimental approach than other disciplines. Some process are now well known, while some—such as decomposition at various levels, decay, human predation, gnawing, root etching, insect action, bioturbation, reworking, bacterial and fungal attacks—are poorly studied.
Existem trechos da literatura por aí que salvam o trabalho por completo, esse é um deles.
