That's what April Wheeler says to her husband, and she is very right indeed. You need to be very brave to be the owner of your life, to live without constraints or fears, to leave all delusions and fears behind. Sometimes we are haunted by our own misfortunes, our unpacked secrets and regrets, and we miss chances to be happier.
Fears and Regrets. Constraints that prevent us from living another existence, a moment of bliss that will never come. Fear. The fear of falling, the fear of risking, the fear of loving and losing. The fear of LIVING.
The worst thing of all is that we end up adapting ourselves to what is expected from us, without questioning the value of that. We play different roles in order to satisfy a shallow reflection of our essence which vanishes until we don't know who we really are. Love and lust become only words with no meaning, now it's time to mask our hopes to stop suffering. We are so afraid of living that we resign ourselves with a half existence, with a false feeling of safety that keeps us satisfied. Appearances and reality. Inner and outer self, and in the end there's only a state of "hopeless emptiness. Now you've said it. Plenty of people see the emptiness, but it takes real guts to see the hopelessness of it".
Will we be strong enough to make one step forward? Will I be strong enough to confront my feelings? Will I be able to expose them without being hurt?
